Eric S. Page
August 13th, 1967 - July 13th, 2023
Eric S. Page, 55, of Gate City, VA, died on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at his father’s home. Eric graduated from Gate City High School. He enjoyed listening to music, playing guitar, fishing, hiking, and riding horses. Eric was a kind-hearted person and enjoyed interacting with his customers at Food Lion where he retired from in 2021 after 37 years of service. His dream job after he “retired” was to be a counselor and help alcoholics. But his disease had such a grip on him that he felt he could never overcome it. His message is “Don’t wait too long to get help.” Eric was preceded in death by his mother, Ingrid Page; brother, Robert Kent Page. Surviving are his daughter, Olivia Grace Page; father, Robert J. Page, Jr.; sister, Carol Page Frazier; brother-in-law, Rick Frazier; aunt, Helga Rotzoll, Frankfort, Germany; mother of his daughter, Vicky Dykes. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 pm Sunday, July 16, 2023 at Scott County Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at Holston View Cemetery with Pastor Daryle Houseright officiating. Pallbearers will be Brandon Butler, Bill Campbell, Karl Floyd, Rick Frazier, Bobby Gay and Chris Rhoads. Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Duncan, Jerry Highland and Mark Isaac. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Scott County Public Animal Shelter, 186 Single Tree Rd, Gate City, VA 24251 or charity of your choice. Carter-Trent/Scott County Funeral Home, Weber City, VA is in charge of the arrangements.
