ERIC R. RAETHER age 39 of Jefferson passed away Saturday January 7, 2017 at his home in Jefferson. He was born on October 4, 1977. Eric attended Jefferson High School and was currently employed in Construction. Eric touched many lives with his fun loving spirit and he was a loyal friend and devoted father to his precious daughter Paeyton. He is survived by his mother Lynn (Nick) Schopen of Jefferson, his father Randy Raether of Oxford. His daughter Paeyton Rose Raether. Sister Katie Schopen (Scott German) of Mauston, brothers Andy (Niki) Schopen of Jefferson, Jerry (Jennifer) Raether of Cambridge. His longtime companion and mother to Paeyton; Jennifer Junker and Paeyton's sisters Kayla and Taylor all of Jefferson. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Rosemary and Edward Heaney, Marylou Wittie, Gerald Raether. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday January 14, 2017 at the Schneider-Michaelis Funeral Home in Jefferson with the Rev. Thomas Coyle officiating. Burial will be at a later date in the St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery.
