Eric James Thomas

Eric James Thomas, born May 8, 1985, passed on July 31, 2014, doing what he loved. An avid hunter and fisherman, he grew up in Albuquerque and made the great outdoors his home. Eric's infectious enthusiasm left a lasting appreciation of the outdoors with everyone whose lives he touched. He is remembered for his fierce loyalty, selflessness, and dependability. He married the love of his life on July 12, 2014. He is survived by his beloved wife Kristin Michelle Thomas and their faithful canine companion Wyatt; mother Kathy Boardman; father and step-mother Mark & Pam Thomas and step-sister Amber Kirby; grandparents James & Loretta Boardman; mother- and father-in-law Jim & Susan Wright, brothers Justin Wright and Brandon Wright, and Justin's wife Rae Lynn Ortega; aunts & uncles Karen Boardman & Darrel Clement, Karla & Ernie Crawford, Konnie & Roger Nelson, Yvonne & Dan Bussell, Jacque & Steve Mecham; and cousins, Brandon & Brady Crawford, Emily & James Nelson, Chris Bussell & family, and David Bussell & family, and Amber and Ryan Mecham. Services will be held Friday, August 8, 2014, at 3:00PM at Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 8600 Academy Rd. NE. In lieu of flowers, please donate in Eric's name to The Way Outfitters, an organization that provides three-day outdoor adventures to disabled terminally-ill youth and American Veterans.
