Erik J. Wendt

WENDT, Erik Jeffrey, 50, of St. Petersburg and Sanford passed away June 7, 2017 at Bayfront Medical Center in the Suncoast Hospice Unit. Born in Smithtown, NY he moved to FL when he was a young boy and graduated from Lake Highland High Preparatory School in Orlando. Erik received his masters in accounting at University of FL in Gainesville and was a member of the basketball team. He became a CPA and later went to Law School at Syracuse University in New York. Erik was a devoted and loving husband, father, son and brother. He is survived by his wife, Danielle Cartier Wendt; children, Ethan and Jack Wendt; mother, Marion Wendt; brother, John Wendt; sister-in-law, Brenda Wendt. Erik was predeceased by his father, Earl Jack Wendt. Erik was a faithful Catholic and a very intelligent, kind, and generous man who always tried to do the right thing and help anyone he could. He loved his dogs, Ashoka, Raffi, and Roo, like they were children, as well as his precious Cozmo who is with him in Heaven. Those of us who knew and loved him will remember and cherish these qualities.
