Erl Frederick Atkinson
January 5th, 1930 - October 27th, 2014
Beloved father, grandfather, brother, nephew and uncle. Erl passed away at his home on October 27, 2014. He is survived by his children: Erl (Jeanne), Margie Stepper (Ben) and Bob; grandchildren: Katie and Sam Atkinson, Brianna Stepper and Amie Brassfield; Aunt Alice Cold; and his brothers Lee Meyers (Sally) and Roy Meyers (Janet). Erl was preceded in death by his wife Kathleen (1969) and son Mark (1984). Also surviving him are many nieces and nephews. Dad was born on January 5, 1930 in Lewistown, MT to Ed and Lillian Atkinson. He was a proud member of Local 86 Ironworkers. He joined the Army and served in Korea (1950-52), and was in the reserves from 1953 thru 1956. Dad raised four amazing children on his own as a single father while maintaining a full-time job. He was proud of his children; and he was also a proud Husky football supporter. He loved the Huskies. He will be deeply missed. A Service will be held at Becks Tribute Center in Edmonds on Fri., Nov. 7 at 11a.m. with Burial following at Holyrood Cemetery in Shoreline.
