Erna Ann Garnett March 12, 1919 - February 24, 2013 Thank You. Thank you Spirit for the blessing of Erna Ann Garnett. Erna completed her Earth†™s journey on February 24, 2013, and now continues in God†™s loving hands surrounded in the comfort of His love and grace. Erna was born on March 12, 1919 in Chicago, Illinois and as a small child she and her family moved to Denver, Colorado. She attended Denver Public Schools and graduated from East High School in 1937. She married Howard Charles Garnett in 1940. They were married for 53 years. They had three children, Lynn Ann, Charles Brodie, and Joan Christine. Erna was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker. In her lifetime of 93 years she would witness many milestones from the women†™s right to vote in 1920, the fall of America in the depression of 1939, victory of World War II, the first man on the moon, 17 presidents making history with the first African American. Perhaps the most amazing of all is the advancement from a 2 party line communication system by telephone, to an instrument that fits into a pocket with the power to speak to anyone at any moment. Erna†™s Spiritual journey comforted her through her life. She shared her Light with many fellow travelers along the way touching many lives. She was always interested in others so therefore she was always interesting. Her love of Spirit brought understanding of others, guidance, and gratitude. As she would say †œI feel the Holy Spirit has had me in its loving arms my whole life†. So on this day we are grateful for Erna. Her spirit lives on in all of us as we continue on this path of life. Thank you Erna for showing so many of us the way. Erna is survived by daughter Lynn Ann Lister, son Charles Brodie Garnett, daughter, Joan Garnett Moores, sons in law Roscoe Conklin Lister II, Jack Middleton Moores, and daughter in law Sherron Elaine Garnett. Grandchildren John Conklin Lister, David Charles Lister, Charles Brandon Garnett, and Andrew Charles Moores, and in memory of Christopher Brodie Garnett. Great grandchildren, Abagail Lee Lister, Chloe Ann Lister, and Sam Oliver Lister. Prayer for Protection The Light of God Surrounds Me The Love of God Enfolds Me The Power of God Protects Me The Presence of God Watches Over Me Wherever I Am God Is Amen
