ERNEST J ERGOTTINO Jr. (Nickname Tino), a resident of Gainesville, Florida, and originally from New York, and Las Vegas, Nevada, sadly passed away at the age of 53, on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 while visiting his family in Las Vegas, NV. Ernest Jr was born March 14, 1962, in New York. He is the beloved father of Lauren Alyssa Ergottino, beloved son of Ernest Sr., and Marilyn, and beloved brother of Denise and Christine. Tino is also survived by many relatives and friends & his beloved service dog, Shadow. Ernest Jr. graduated from Patchogue-Medford High School, NY and from Adelphi University in New York, where he completed his Financial Planning Services Degree. He maintained a Financial Planning Services business for 15 years in New York. While living in Las Vegas, Nevada from 2005-2009, he maintained a successful sign company. Tino was proud and eager to complete all tasks for his vendors; locally and abroad. He was very dedicated to his work while always giving compassion, perfection, and a smile. One of his favorite projects was completing signs for the World Market in Las Vegas. Tino enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a proud father; always very loving and caring with Lauren. He valued his time with Lauren, whether at home, on small trips, as well as in the hospital. His eyes would sparkle and his face always smiled when she was with him. He enjoyed being a special dad, even during the difficult times. There wasn't anything he wouldn't do for his daughter. Ernie Jr. was truly a family man and he looked forward to visiting his family this year. He was especially happy to bring his service dog, Shadow, to Las Vegas to be with his family, knowing his family would take very good care of his dog. Tino always did whatever he could for his daughter, family and others. He was very compassionate and often shared many laughs and fun times with all. He also had a great personality; very friendly and outgoing, and had a great sense of humor. Tino enjoyed all types of music and movies. Although he didn't play sports, he was a great fan of the NY Yankees and NASCAR racing; Kyle Busch was his favorite driver. He also enjoyed watching the NHL and the NY Rangers. He enjoyed football, especially the Gainesville Gators. He also loved cooking, especially Italian meals. Another of his hobbies was exploring the outdoors, such as camping with his daughter and family, and exploring nature. Whatever he was doing, he enjoyed doing it with Shadow. Ernest J Ergottino Jr. was inducted as a member of the Knights of Columbus, a Roman Catholic fraternal organization, in Long Island, NY. Tino also belonged to the Gainesville Gator AMPS. Ernie Jr, was always very positive, caring, and had a wonderful outlook on life. He often showed his spirituality while giving positive insight. He never gave up and always wanted to uplift others in times of need. He was full of hope, faith, and inspiration. A visitation and memorial mass will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2016 in the chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church located at 1811 Pueblo Vista Dr, Summerlin, Las Vegas, NV 89128. Visitation will be 10:30AM, followed by the Memorial service at 11:00AM.
