Ernest "Ernie" J. Farkas

Ernest J. "Ernie" Farkas Lifelong resident of Waukesha passed away on Friday, June 24, 2011, lovingly surrounded by his family at his home, at the age of 72 years. Ernie was born on December 22, 1938, the son of Stephen and Josephine Farkas. He married the love of his life, Judith M. "Judy" (nee Gallitz) Farkas, on December 2, 1961. Ernie proudly served in the U.S. Navy. He worked for the Allen Bradley Company for over 35 years. Ernie was a volunteer Fire Fighter and EMT for the Town of Brookfield and Stone Bank, WI. He enjoyed; bowling, fishing, hunting, playing cards and was an avid reader. Ernie was a very outgoing person, always willing to help a friend and he kept up with all the current news. Ernie will be sadly missed by his wife, Judy, of almost 50 years; his children, Scott (Susan) Farkas of Waukesha, and Keith Farkas of Waukesha. He is further survived by 4 grandchildren; brothers, Steve, Sig and Frank Farkas; sister Mary Farkas; brother-in-law, Jerry Gallitz and his four legged friend "Chuckie". Ernie is preceded in death by his parents, and brother Val Farkas. The visitation for Ernie will be held, Wednesday, June 29, 2011 from 4:00 pm until the time of the 6:00 pm funeral service at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd, Waukesha, WI 53188. Burial will be private.
