Ernest (Cliff) Clifton Mundine
February 22nd, 1940 - May 7th, 2014
Ernest Clifton "Cliff" Mundine died peacefully, following a stroke, in Rockledge on May 7, 2014. He was 74 years old. Cliff was born on February 22, 1940 in Newport, NC. He is predeceased by his father, James Closs, and mother, Mae Belle. Cliff moved to Florida in 1957 and worked with his father in the building industry. He earned his General Contractors license, started his own business, and continued to work tirelessly for many years. He and his family are very proud of the many buildings and masonry/brick work that he has completed in the area. Besides his family and his work, golf was his passion. He loved the game and giving coaching advice, to any one of his family members or friends who would listen, was his favorite past time. His body being healed, we are certain he is enjoying a round or two on a beautiful course this very day. Cliff met the love of his life and was the beloved husband to Joan Anderson Mundine for 53 years. He is also survived by their three children Terri (Lenny) Faulkner, Connie Mundine, and Steve(Debbie) Mundine, all of Rockledge. He is survived by five grandchildren: Chad (Lindsay) Faulkner, of St. Johns, FL; Ryan (Ashley) Faulkner, of Cocoa, FL; Lindsey Mundine, Zachary Mundine, Nicholas Mundine, all of Rockledge, FL. He is also survived by one great-grandson: Jaxson Faulkner. He is survived by four sisters: Barbara Jean (Keith) Godwin, of Newport, NC; Willie "Bonnie" Eyvonne (Harold) Estes of New Kent, VA; Mary Delorise Bland of Moorehead City, NC; Goldie "Pink" Marie (Murl) Huskey of Powder Springs, GA; sister-in-law Marilyn Anderson, of Cocoa, FL. He is survived by his aunt and uncle, Gerald and Myrtle Merrill of Newport, NC. The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
