Ernest "Tippy" Vigil

November 5th, 1963 - August 8th, 2024

Ernie Vigil, a beloved father of five, devoted grandfather to eleven grandchildren, and cherished husband to his wife Lisa, passed away surrounded by his loving family. His warmth, generosity, and unwavering dedication to those he loved will be remembered by all who knew him.

Born with a deep connection to the outdoors, Ernie found joy in fishing and spending time in nature. These moments brought him peace and fulfillment, often shared with his family by his side. Ernie’s love for the outdoors was matched only by his love for his family, with whom he spent countless cherished moments, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

A caring brother and a loyal friend, Ernie was always there with a helping hand or a kind word. His presence brought comfort and joy to those around him, and he was a constant source of strength and love.

Ernie's legacy lives on through his five children, who carry forward the values of love, kindness, and resilience that he instilled in them, and through his eleven grandchildren, who will always remember their grandfather’s gentle spirit and the warmth of his embrace.

Though he is no longer with us, Ernie’s spirit will forever be a part of the lives he touched. His love, kindness, and the memories he created will remain in our hearts always.

Ernie, you will be deeply missed, but your legacy will live on in all of us.

A funeral service will take place at Romero Family Furneral Home, located at 1805 South Sheridan Blvd., Lakewood, CO 80232. The viewing will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by the funeral service from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A procession to Golden Cemetery with a celebration of life to follow.

Rest In Peace, Grandpa Tip. We will always cherish you forever and ever! We will keep your legacy going. You taught us to be strong and tough, just like you. God needed a tough Angel to help him, so he took you with him. We love you forever!
