Ernestine Linda Lopez, 66 of Aurora, CO passed away at home on March 6, 2024.
Born on October 19, 1957, in Del Norte, CO to her parents Levi Leo Lopez and Nicky Vigil. Ernestine had six siblings, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
Ernestine never married, but had two children, Leo Maestas and Mariah Fejeran with her long-time love, Gaspar Maestas. Ernestine earned her GED in 1975. She then attended Weber State University. Shortly after, she joined the Utah Army Reserves where she served for eight years. Ernestine lived in Idaho, Utah, and Colorado for most of her life. Ernestine worked in retail management and manufacturing. Ernestine enjoyed playing dice, dominoes, cards, and she loved listening to old school and Tejano music. Her all-time favorite thing to do was watching her morning shows. She enjoyed watching The Price is Right and her Denver Broncos.
Ernestine is survived by her children Son, Leo (Trisha) Maestas, (Boise, ID,), Daughter Mariah, (Chris) Fejeran,(Nampa, ID) Grandchildren, Xander Maestas, (Meridian, ID), Christian Fejeran, (Nampa, ID), Zayven Maestas, (Nampa, ID), Elijah Fejeran, (Nampa, ID), Julion Maestas, (Perry, Ut) , Zeekio Padilla, (Nampa, ID), Paislee Maestas, (Boise, ID) and two grand-puppies Duke and Valor. Brothers Mitchel (Greg) Lopez (Aurora, CO), Sisters Barbra Lopez (Ogden, UT), Jackie (Robert) Martinez (Ogden, UT), Goddaughter’s Brandy Lopez (Ogden, UT) and Mandy Gallegos (Ogden, UT), many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Ernestine was preceded in death by her parents Levi Lopez and Nicky Vigil. Brothers Joe Lopez, Fred Lopez, Paul Lopez. Grand-puppy Solo and her long-time love of her life, Gaspar Maestas.
Ernestine’s wish was to be cremated. Her children will have a celebration of life June 29, 2024, in Boise, Idaho.
You will be deeply missed, Mom.
