Ernestine Wynona Crigler Montgomery was born May 28, 1937, in San Diego, California. She was the third child born to Wilbert Wilson Crigler & Helen Margurite Lewis.Ernestine received Christ as her personal savior at an early age. On April 13, 2015, she entered into eternal glory to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ Ernestine obtained her formal education in the San Diego School District. She attended Memorial Jr. High School, and San Diego High School. She was united in Holy Matrimony to Eugene M. Montgomery on March 24, 1962, later moving to Maywood, Illinois in April, 1962. They were married 53 years, until her death. Blessed to this union were 2 children, Eric M. Montgomery and Tabitha J. Montgomery, who currently reside in Arizona. Ernestine was employed with Boise Cascade Envelope Division for 16 years until it closed. She worked for Williamhouse Envelope, retiring in 1999. She was also employed with Oak Park YMCA until 2009. She had many talents that were shared with others. Ernestine was spirited, fun-loving, with a great sense of humor. She embraced those from all walks of life. Her warm personality and presence was what attracted people to her. This is why she is loved by so many. Ernestine was preceded in death by her mother, father and one brother, Wilbert Wilson Jr.. Ernestine leaves to cherish her memory, her devoted husband, Eugene Montgomery; one surviving brother, Percy F. Crigler; her son, Eric M. Montgomery and his child, Eric A. Montgomery; her daughter, Tabitha Montgomery and her child, Nikolas Simmons. Loving nieces: Gwenette Smith; Fontaine Crigler; Cheryl Crigler; Regina Crigler Miller; Seglenda Crigler and Yolanda Crigler; godchildren: Angela Farris and Alvin Woodard III, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
