Ernesto Joaquin Arze

Ernest J Arze M.D., Feb 1928 to October 2010, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, October 6 in his Las Vegas home. His life of 82 years is celebrated by his loving family, wife Geraldine; children Cathy Sipka of Warren OH, Francine (Bill) McCrae of San Antonio TX, Cathy (Eric) Koval of Colorado Springs CO and Steven (Karrie Ann) Arze of Rockwall TX; grandchildren Roque, Taylor, Jessica, DJ, Alex, Addison, Joseph, Alexis, Joshua, and Caleb; surviving brothers, Jaime Arze, Jose' Arze and Arturo Saunero and their families as well as the families of siblings that have preceded him in passing, Oscar Arze, Marina Vargas and Julieta Farrell. Ernest Arze was a caring family practice physician in Cleveland Ohio, and San Antonio Texas where he raised his family. He was an avid tennis player throughout the years and recent Senior Olympic tennis champion. He retired to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1998 and enjoyed world travels, scenic mountain views that reminded him of his birthplace in Cochabamba Bolivia, architecture, the marvel of the Las Vegas strip, gardening, and visits with his grandchildren. We will all miss him dearly and are grateful to God for his life, his dedication to family, and the joy and healing he brought to the lives of those around him. Interment will follow at the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, 17501 Nacogdoches Rd, San Antonio, TX 78266.
