Frankfort – Ervin Casey, 88, passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at his home in Frankfort, Kentucky. Mr. Casey was born in Salvisa, KY on September 12, 1933 to the late Jesse and Annie Puckett Casey. He drove for Harrod and Carter for 29 years a concrete and rock truck. Built houses and apartments; owned and operated his own grocery store on Green Wilson Road. He loved the Lord, a lifelong member of Evergreen Baptist Church. Loved UK Basketball and treasured his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren with all his heart. Mr. Casey was respected and loved by his friends, family, and community. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 59 years, Betty Todd Hatchell Casey; two sons, Barry Casey and Rick Casey; five brothers, Aubrey, Roy, Cecil, Earl and Jay; five sisters, Nettie Medley, Mildred Slone, Dorothy Coke, Betty Cook, and Edith Redding. Mr. Casey is survived by his daughter, Georgiana Casey-Goode (Gary), Frankfort; son, Anthony Casey (Tonjua), Lawrenceburg; daughter-in-law, Patsy Casey, Frankfort; grandchildren, Benjamin Goode (Christy), Richmond; Jade Hicks (Shane), Lawrenceburg; Kennedy Casey (Seth), Lawrenceburg; great grandchildren, Hartley and Sadiey Hicks; brother, Donnie Casey (Anne), Nicholasville, KY; and sister, Ruth Phillips, Simpsonville, Kentucky. Funeral Service will be held at 7:00pm on Friday, January 28, 2022 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd. Visitation will be held from 4:00pm until the time of service on Friday, January 28, 2022 at the funeral home. Mr. Casey will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family requests that masks be worn by everyone in attendance.
