Her journey began on May 28, 1927, in the beautiful land of Puerto Rico, where she was born to Maria Vega and Buen Aventura Montes.

Esmeralda leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion woven into the very fabric of her family's lives. She was the beloved mother of her sons Junior, Edgar, Robert, Jose, Alberto, Jorge, and Eric, and her cherished daughter Maria. The light of her spirit will continue to shine through her grandchildren - Eric, Jessenia, and Angelo - whose lives she enriched with her wisdom and boundless affection.

In her long and fruitful life, Esmeralda exemplified the virtues of a life well-lived. Though the details of her education, career, and achievements might be sparse, they were surely filled with the quiet and significant impact she had on all who were fortunate to know her. Her personality, marked by a warm heart and unwavering honesty, was a guiding beacon for her family and community.

Esmeralda’s spirit and the memories woven into the hearts of her loved ones will be honored at a visitation service. Family, friends, and those whose lives she touched are invited to come together at Loyless Funeral Home on August 9, 2024, from 4 to 6 pm to celebrate her life, share cherished memories, and express condolences.
