Mrs. Esmeralda Natriello, 89, of Gloversville, died Sunday at Nathan Littauer Hospital. She was born in Gloversville on February 23, 1918, daughter of the late Gus and Amelia Evangelista Maryanopolis. Mrs. Natriello was educated in Gloversville schools and employed early in life at the former Pasino and Rossi Glove Co. She also worked at the family business, New York Lunch, which her father founded. She then worked at her husband?s business, Peter?s Outlet and for many years she was a sewing machine operator at the former Johnstown Knitting Mill, where she retired. An avid bingo player, Esmeralda also enjoyed cooking, crocheting and watching her soap operas. Her greatest joy was her family, especially grandchildren and great grandchildren, with whom she shared her love of the New York Yankees and devotion to the ?Price is Right?. Survivors include her husband, Peter Natriello of Gloversville, whom she married May 16, 1943; her daughter, Jennie Candy Meher of Gloversville and two grandchildren, Kelly Dan Hilts and Paul L. Sandy Meher, Jr. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren: Michael Szurek Jr., Misty Lynn Hilts, D.J. Hilts, Gustin Hilts, Gabriel Meher, Hayley Ferrara, Phil Simms Meher, Nicholas Ferrara and Emily Meher and one great-great grandson, Logan Putman. Mrs. Natriello is survived by sisters-in law, Caroline Maryanopolis of Gloversville, Ruth Chubbuck of Amsterdam and Anna Pierce of Syracuse and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by two brothers, John Maryanopolis and Daniel Maryanopolis and a sister, Mary Cerrito, as well as her son-law, Paul L. Meher, Sr. A prayer service will be held 9:15 on Thursday from the Kobuskie-Konik Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street and at 10 am a Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Church with Reverend Donald Czelusniak, Pastor, as celebrant. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4-8 pm. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville.
