Estelle D. Dickinson
April 25th, 1929 - May 8th, 2005
"Estelle D. Dickinson, 76, died May 8, 2005 at Holyoke Hospital. Born April 25, 1929 in South Hadley, she was the daughter of the late Nora (Beaudry) and Leon Guiel. Known as GiGi by her family and friends, she was a varsity cheerleader and graduated from South Hadley High School in 1947. She also graduated from the Barbizon School of Modeling in New York City in 1949. GiGi was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She loved being a homemaker and spending time in her flower garden and her creativity as a seamstress. She was also very instrumental in her husband's contracting business, handling many of the administrative duties. Estelle will be deeply missed by her husband of 56 years, Leslie A. Dickinson, Sr., her two sons, Leslie Jr. of Belchertown and Ted and his wife Joanne of S. Hadley, her two daughters Cathy Gianinni and her husband Mark of Tierra Verde Fl and Betsy Dickinson of S. Hadley. She also survived by four sisters, Rena Wilbois, Shirley Turner, Marie Houle and Barbara Danek all of S. Hadley and her 4 grandchildren, Nicholas, Joshua, Ryan and Jenna. A funeral service will be Thursday at 12:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story S. Hadley Funeral Home, 646 Newton St (Rt116) . Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4:00 -7:00 p.m. A video tribute in her honor will be played throughout the visitation. Donations may be made in her memory to the American Heart Association 1111 Elm St. West Springfield, MA 01089."
