Belchertown- Estelle B. (Como) McCray, 89, peacefully departed this life on August 25, 2024. She was born November 30, 1934, in Holyoke to the late George and Helen (Plouff) Como. Estelle was known for her great smile, which brightened the lives of all who knew her, right up until the end.She was a dedicated and compassionate home health aide for many years, bringing comfort and care to those in need. Outside of her professional life, Estelle found joy in simple pleasures, such as solving puzzles and coloring, which reflected her love for detail and beauty.Estelle is survived by her loving sons, Robert, Edward, Richard, and John McCray, as well as her brothers, Perry, Donald, Richard, and George Como. She also leaves behind her cherished sister-in-law, Jackie Como. Estelle was predeceased by her beloved husband, Stacy Douglas McCray, and her siblings, Lillian Carlson and Armand Como.A memorial service to honor Estelle's life will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Chicopee on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at 10 a.m., followed by a burial at Fairview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Belchertown Senior Center, 60 State St. Belchertown, MA 01007.Estelle's legacy of a warm smile and a caring heart lives on in the memories of her family and friends.
