Ethan Ryan Paskett of Springfield, Oregon passed away May 1st, 2018 at the age of 16. A memorial service will be held Friday, May 11th, at 4pm at Springfield Memorial Gardens, 7305 Main St. Ethan was born in Layton, Utah on July 16th, 2001 to proud parents Chris and Elizabeth Paskett. When his dad was hired by the Eugene Fire Dept, he became a resident of the Eugene-Springfield area at the age of 2. He attended McCornack Elementary in Eugene for 1st grade, and the Thurston area schools starting in 2nd grade: Thurston Elementary, Thurston Middle, and Thurston High. Ethan was an excellent student and a wonderful friend to all who knew him. Ethan spent time in the Boy Scouts and achieved the rank of Life Scout. He loved the outdoors and hiking with his dog in the Thurston Hills nearly every day. He was an amazing big brother to his 3 little sisters. He was kind, clever, and quick to smile and always had a hug and an "I love you” for his mom and dad. He helped his grandparents whenever asked. Our lives are forever changed having known Ethan. We miss him terribly. Ethan was introduced to baseball at a young age and it became his passion. He played for KidSports, Little League, Babe Ruth, and Thurston High School. Ethan’s Thurston baseball family was one of the best parts of his life. Ethan is survived by his parents Chris and Elizabeth, his sisters Kate, Natalie and Rebecca, his grandparents Dan and Carol Nielson, Springfield, OR, Patrick and Marsha Miller, Creswell, OR, and Bruce Paskett and Teresa Gent, Portland, OR.
