Frankfort – Ethel Updike Moore, 85, passed away on Thursday, July 22, 2021. A native of Frankfort, she was born on March 16, 1936 to the late Irvine and Elizabeth Toles Updike. She is preceded in death by her sisters Dorothy Rice, JoAnn Paynter, and George Updike She is survived by her daughter, Jana Moore, Frankfort; her five sons, Michael (Nancy) Moore, John Glenn Moore, Jefferey (Ginger) Moore, Jamie (Robin) Moore, Todd (Janie) Moore, all of Frankfort; her sister, Minnie Lou Thomason (Bobby) Stamping Ground; her brothers, Clayton (Linda) Updike, Frankfort, and Irvine “Pee Wee” (Brenda) Updike, Frankfort; her sister in law, Ada Updike; her 12 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and 7 great great grandchildren. She was a cook at Blue Bonnet Restaurant, Frankfort Regional Medical Center, and Ms. Ramey's Tea Room. She spent years running a little pool room with her husband in Stamping Ground, before moving to Louisville. She spent most of her life cooking for other people and family, this is what she enjoyed doing. She had a big heart, and she loved, with all she had. Everyone that met her loved her. She never met a stranger. Always with a smile on her face. She loved looking good wherever she went no matter where that was, she was dressed up. She loved her children and loved being visited and spending time with them. Her favorite hobby was going to the Red Mile & Belterra to play slots and playing UNO and games at home. Visitation will be held from 6:00pm until 8:00pm on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd. Online condolences may be expressed at www.ClarkLegacyCenter.com.
