Eugena Theresa Krassel

Eugena Theresa Krassel, born January 21, 1945, passed away peacefully November 14, 2023, in Melbourne, Florida at age 78. Eugena was born in Brooklyn, New York to Eugene and Florence Condon. She attended high school in Farmingdale, New York and went to nursing school shortly after graduation. In 1965, she married Edward Krassel and moved to Brightwaters, New York. They had three children and shared many wonderful loving years raising a family, camping, boating, and spending time with family and friends. Eugena was an emergency room nurse for many years at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip, New York. She developed a passion for interior decorating which she practiced professionally at JCPenney and personally all her life. She moved to Viera, Florida in 2005 and enjoyed playing Bridge three times a week with her friends. She was an active parishioner of Ascension Catholic Church where she volunteered as a Eucharistic Minister and a Minister to the Sick and Homebound. She was a devoted grandmother to her eight grandchildren who brought her happiness and joy every day of her life. Eugena is preceded in death by her husband Edward Krassel, parents Eugene and Florence Condon, brothers Jack and Joseph Condon, and sister Florence Fitze. Survivors include her loving daughter Tammy Durante and adoring sons Richard and Jeffrey Krassel and eight wonderful grandchildren: Brendan, Timothy, Joseph, Rachel, Mackenzie, Evan, Rebecca, and Connor. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation Monday, November 27, 2-4PM and 6-8PM; at Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home, 5400 Village Drive, Rockledge, FL 32955. Mass will be held Tuesday, November 28 at 1PM, at Ascension Catholic Church, 2950 North Harbor City Boulevard, Melbourne, FL 32935.
