"Palmer, Eugene D. Beauchemin, Jr., 80, of Michael Dr. in the Thorndike section of Palmer, died Friday, November 16, 2012. Born in the Willimansett section of Chicopee, June 28, 1932, he was the son of Eugene and Blanche (Boudreau) Beauchemin. He attended Mt. Carmel School in Willimansett and St. Jerome High School in Holyoke. Gene was a communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Church. He retired from Dreikorn's Bakery in Holyoke and later Strohman Bakery as a driver salesman. He was a member of the Teamsters Union #404 of Springfield, and #559 of E. Windsor, CT. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 59 years, Beatrice (Bellefeuille), along with his children Suzanne Brozek and her husband James of Acton, Eugene D., III and his wife Linnea of Agawam, Robert and his wife Sarah of Monson, and Paul and his wife Lori of Springfield. He also leaves his 13 precious grandchildren and 1 great grandson. Additionally, he is survived by his sisters Lucille LaPointe of S. Hadley, and Theresa Ziomek of Granby along with many nieces and nephews. Services will be Tuesday, November 20 at 9:00 a.m. from the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home followed by a liturgy of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Anne Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. For those wishing, donations may be made in his memory to American Diabetes Association, PO Box 11454, Alexandria, VA, 22312."
