January 31st, 1941 - October 26th, 2010
Eugene E. Gallitz age 69 of Helenville, passed away on Tuesday October 26,2010, at Angels Grace Hospice Facility in Oconomowoc. He was born on January 31, 1941 in Reesville, son of the late Ruben Gallitz and Leona (Krakow) Gallitz. Eugene farmed and did construction in the Helenville area; he also enjoyed collecting old tractors. He is survived by his mother: Leona Rhodes of Watertown, and children Cindy Gallitz of Beaver Dam, Thomas (Kathy) Gallitz Jefferson, Michael (fiance' Lisa Vehlow) of Reeseville Cathy Gallitz Helenville and Tim Gallitz also of Helenville. 10 grandchildren: Kyle and Travis Firari, Nicholas and Heather Gallitz, Marissa, Mitchell, Wyatt Gallitz Ben and Taylor Vehlow, and Zoe Bloomer One sister Debra (Thomas) Schmitz of Brookfield. Nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He is also preceded in death by his sister Betty Gartland, and his step-father William Rhodes. Visitation will be held October 29, 2010 from 3:00 - 7:00 PM with a Memorial service at 7:00 pm at the Schneider-Michaelis Funeral Home in Jefferson, with the Rev. Dr. Kenneth Comstock officiating.
