Eugene George Griego

Eugene George Griego (50), or better known by everyone who loved him as "Geno" went home to be with the Lord on January 5, 2020. After battling renal failure, diabetes, spine pain and lung issues he is now pain free in the loving arms of our Lord. Geno was a lifelong resident of Los Lunas but resided in Albuquerque. Geno was a family man, a big teddy bear but tough. He didn't judge a soul. He loved his family more than anything in this world and was always so proud of his loved ones accomplishments, big or small. He always loved Holidays and get togethers because that meant he got to be surrounded by the people he loved so much. Geno enjoyed going to the casino on his spare time, making tortillas and watching western movies. He looooved eating and his Coca Colas. Any pain Geno endured never stopped him from joking around and making everyone laugh every time he seen them. Geno always wanted everyone to know how much he loved them. So, every time he was with family and friends an "I love you" and a big bear hug was always expected. His daughters Serenity, Felicity and baby boy Eugene Jr were his everything. His niece's nephews and siblings were his rocks and he was theirs too. And his daughter/nieces Leahanna and Cassandra were his haven. He never failed to remind them how much he appreciated them & loved them for caring for him throughout his illness. Geno always left memories with everyone he met and everyone who was blessed to meet him. His jokes, loving caring nature, big hugs, how he always had his family's backs & unforgettable laugh & voice will never be forgotten. Geno was preceded in death by his mother who he missed dearly Olivia C Galvan, his fathers who he also missed Jose V Galvan & Joe C Griego. Grandfathers Isaac Mendoza & Manuel Olivas, Grandmothers MaryAnn Mendoza & Socorro Olivas. Niece Marissa Rodriguez, his little companion Ayzee Baby and many cousins, uncles and aunts. Geno is survived by his Daughter Serenity Griego & fiancé Jose Soto, Daughter Felicity Griego & Fiancé Ramsys Pagan, daughter/niece Leahanna Ayala & wife Cassandra Ayala. Son's Eugene G Griego Jr., Robert Perry and Michael Moe. Sister MaryAnn Chavez & Husband Patrick Chavez, Brother Joe Griego, Sister/Best Friend Melissa Griego & fiancé William Juarez, Baby sister Vanessa Galvan & fiancé Rudy Chavez. God Children Jose Rodriguez & Fiance Patricia Martinez, Jose Galvan & Miranda Gallegos. Nephews Isaac Rodriguez & wife Marissa. Marco Rodriguez & wife Samantha. Joseph Griego & wife Celina. Patrick Chavez Jr & girlfriend Patricia Jojola, Jose & Julian Galvan. Nieces Kassandra Griego, Makayla Griego & Fiancé Rene Mendoza, Abriana Bonilla & husband Sergio Bonilla, Patricia Garcia & husband Cruz Garcia & Olivia Campos Galvan. Bff Renee Garcia & Rhea "fat girl" Benavidez who he considered his granddaughter. As well as many, many more great nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts uncles and friends. A public viewing and Rosary will be held Thursday January 16, 2020 from 6 pm to 8pm at the Riverside Chapel at 225 San Mateo Blvd NE Albuquerque, NM 87108. A mass will be held on Friday January 17, 2020 at 1pm at the San Clemente Catholic Church at 244 Luna Ave SE, Los Lunas NM 87031. Interment will be held at a later date. Pallbearers will be Jose Rodriguez, Marco Rodriguez, Rudy Chavez, Ramsys Pagan, Cassandra Ayala & Jose Soto. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jose and Julian Galvan.
