MEREDITH, Eugene "Gene", 82, of Tampa, Florida, passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2010. He was born in Brownsville, Kentucky and moved to Florida in 1967. He was a 1965 graduate of Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri, a retired ordained Baptist Minister and member of the First Baptist Church of Land O' Lakes. Gene was a United States Navy Veteran. He was the owner and operator of Gene's Body Shop in Tampa. Gene is preceded in death by his son, Thomas. He is survived by his wife, Louise Meredith; two sons, Dennis and his wife, Regina of Brandon and Ricky of Wesley Chapel; three daughters, Annette Bradstreet and her husband, David of Michigan, J. Meredith Wester and her husband, Clint and Paulette Holder and her husband, Kenneth all of Lutz; sister, Alma M. Holt of Kentucky; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. A funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Monday, July 19, 2010 at the First Baptist Church of Land O' Lakes. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens, Thonotosassa.
