Memorial

In loving memory of Eugene Gale Pardee, born on September 6, 1946, in Long Beach, California, who passed away peacefully on September 29, 2024, in Olympia, Washington. Eugene, affectionately known to many as "Gene," was a man of wit, warmth, and unwavering devotion to his family and community. He lived a life marked by a deep commitment to his passions, which he pursued with characteristic humor and vitality.

Eugene was the son of the late Warren Everett Pardee and Irene Louella Lunder, and he carried forward their legacy of kindness and ambition. A proud alumnus of Jordan High School, Class of 1964, he furthered his education at Long Beach City College, a testament to his lifelong dedication to learning.

Gene served his country with honor during the Vietnam era as a photographer in the United States Air Force. His love for photography transcended his military service, leading him to establish a successful career as the owner of a camera store, where he shared his passion with the community.

Gene's vibrant personality left an indelible mark on everyone he met. His boundless energy and sense of humor made him a cherished friend and a beloved figure in his church and community. As an active member of Mount Olive Lutheran Church, Gene not only attended services but also led as the president of the church council, guiding his congregation with wisdom and care.

In retirement, Gene found joy and fulfillment with his wife, Linda, through their involvement in the Olympia Camera Club, where he also held the position of president. His ambition and leadership enriched the lives of fellow photography enthusiasts, fostering a community bound by shared interest and camaraderie.

Gene's legacy lives on through his loving family: his devoted wife, Linda K. Pardee; his children, Jeffrey Scott Pardee, Ben Hernandez, Tracey Lynn Kosenski, and Merrie Kay Baldwin; his sister, Carol Wresch; as well as five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. His family was a source of immense pride and joy, each member a testament to his enduring influence and love.

The Pardee family will celebrate Eugene’s life in a service held at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, located at 206 East Wyandotte, Shelton, Washington, on the date and time shared. In lieu of flowers, donations are kindly requested to support the family with medical expenses, reflecting Gene's lifelong spirit of care and community support.

May Eugene Gale Pardee rest in eternal peace, forever remembered for his humor, kindness, and steadfast love for life and those around him.
