Robinson, Eugene F., 86, of Sun City Center, Passed away November 29, 2008. He is survived by his daughter Connie, and two sons Mike and Jim. Gene's wife Carol of 64 years passed away November 17, 2008. Gene was born in Washington, Indiana of Harry and Alice. Gene had a love of flying and retired from the U.S. Air Force with the rank of Lt. Colonel, and served in three wars, WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. Gene received the Bronze Star for his meritorious service in Vietnam. After retiring from the Air Force Gene worked as a director for General Motors. Retiring once again Gene and Carol moved from Dayton, Oh. to Bradenton, Fl. in 1984, then moved to Sun City Center in 1992. There are ten grandchildren: Stephanie, Mike, Jason, Mark, Scott, Christine, Caree, Chelsea, Laura, Janie, and seven great grandchildren, along with many dear friends. The family will be receiving friends from 7-9 PM, Friday, December 5, 2008 at Sun City Center Funeral Home, 1851 Rickenbacker Drive, Sun City Center, Fla. 33573. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 6, 2008 at Prince Of Peace Catholic Church, in Sun City Center. Gene and Carol will be buried together at 11:30 AM Monday, December 8, 2008 with full military honors at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Fl. Contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to National Parkinson Foundation Inc., Office of Development, 1501 NW 9th Ave/Bob Hope Road, Bob Hope Road, Miami, Fl. 33136-1494. Donations can also be made online by going to www.parkinson.org.
