Eugene Henry (Gene) Ulrich, 87, expired at his home in Rock Pointe Condos of Cocoa Beach on Monday, November 4. Gene was a WW II veteran and a member of IATSE Local #1 of New York City for over 50 years. During his career of over 30 years at the Columbia Broadcasting System this Emmy nominated lighting designer worked on such large productions as Miss Universe, Miss America, and all of the network's many soap operas. Before moving to CBS Eugene worked in the legitimate theater as a contract master electrician all over the United States with many production credits including the original Broadway production of ""The Diary of Anna Frank"". He is survived by his loving wife Helen, daughter Judith Ulrich Weaver, and son Thomas all of Rock Pointe Condos in Cocoa Beach, Fl. He is also out lived by his daughter and grandson Barbara and Andrew Giannantonio of Oradell, N.J. He was predeceased by a son, James Francis and daughter Kathleen but survived by Kathleen's daughter Melissa Hereghty of Pa. Visitation will be from 2 till 4 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13th at Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home in Cocoa Beach. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 2 P.M.
