Mrs. Eva Kathryn Adamson, 69, of Greeley, CO and mother of Weld County Coroner Ross Adamson, died unexpectedly Thursday, January 18, 1968 at her home. She was 69. Born at Spraggs, PA January 6, 1899, she grew up in Wayne Township, Greene County, PA. She attended Center Township Normal School at Rogersville, PA where she received a teacher's certificate and taught school until her marriage to James S. Adamson at Kuhntown, PA on January 28, 1920. They moved to Rogersville where her husband operated a mortuary. After her husband's death on September 2, 1953 Mrs. Adamson moved to Greeley and had liver here since. She was a member of the First christian Church, Garden City Chapter NO. 3, Order of Eastern Star, Mahi Shrine No. 18, White Shrine of Jerusalem, Omega Club, American Auxiliary, O.E.S. Kensington, and the Service Club of the First christian Church, all of Greeley. She was also a member of Lady Greene Rebekah Lodge No. 385 in Waynesburg, PA. She is survived by her sons, Ross Adamson, Deputy Coroner, Reed P. Adamson, both of Greeley; a sister, Mrs. Clarence (Della) Crouse of Rogersville; and five grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 22, 1968 from the Lantz Funeral Home in Rogersville, followed by interment in Rosemont Cemetery in Greene County. Mrs. Adamson will lie in state at the Adamson Memorial Chapel until 4:00 p.m. Saturday.
