Mrs. Sagovac, 94, of Charlotte, NC passed away on July 6, 2016. She was born in Hannover, Germany on September 10, 1921 to the late, Kurt Ernest Frederick Hennings and Elisabeth Helena Ehlers Hennings. Mrs. Sagovac married Dr. Emil M. Sagovac and together had 2 children. They moved to Canada in 1947 and then to Clearwater, FL in 1963. Eva attended the University of South Florida and received her Nursing and Teaching degrees and in 1973 the family moved to Charlotte, NC. She started working for Spirit Square where she was the Comptroller until she retired at the age of 70. Mrs. Sagovac was of the Lutheran faith and loved going to church with friends, she loved to travel, was a member of The German American Club. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and son, Gregory Marc Sagovac. She is survived by her daughter, Christine Yvonne Maria Quigley and her husband Gleason Woodrow "Woody" Quigley and grandson Darren Woodrow Quigley and Dawn Secrest. The family will receive friends Tuesday afternoon, July 12, 2016 from 1:00 until 2:00 at Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service, 1111 East Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28203. A graveside service will follow in Forest Lawn East Cemetery in Matthews at 2:45 PM.
