Eva Karen Vande
April 29th, 1947 - April 29th, 2015
Born in High Point, North Carolina to Donald and Eva Clodfelter Eva (Aunt Karen) loved her children, her grandchildren, her sisters, and friends. She had a life-long passion for music, antiques, collecting beautiful rocks and spending time by the river. She had an incredible talent when it came to all things creative and crafty. She sewed handmade stuffed animals for her children when they were young. She could sing, write songs, draw, make jewelry, and sew anything. She taught herself how to play the guitar and harmonica. We learned many popular songs from her as children. She was always an advocate for the underdog, or those less fortunate than her, a heart-felt trait that she passed on to her children. Her optimism kept her happy during difficult times, another endearing quality that her family admired. She is survived by Tammie Jenkins (Joshua, Benjamin, and Daniel), Wendy Rose, Livia and Larry Thompson (Serena, Kendra and Maya), Amethyst Rebekah Vande (Autumn and Damon), Ethan Vande, and Charla Vande (Dustin and Breahna), and her sisters Rena (Aunt Sandy) and Devette. She also loved her nieces and nephews across the states. She was preceded by her parents, and her sister Donna. A Celebration of Life for Eva will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, May 17th 2015 at Stringfield Family Park, 3614 SE Naef Rd, Oak Grove, Oregon. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to Clackamas Women's Services.
