Evangelina Garcia

Evangelina Garcia, 87, of Caldwell, died June 7, 2012, in a Caldwell hospital of natural causes. She was born January 5, 1925 in Monterrey, Mexico to Servando and Francisca Gonzales. She married Enrique Garcia in 1939, and moved to Texas around 1942. They were blessed with 11 children, and moved to Idaho in 1956. She loved raising her family. She was a great support to her family, and was a strong, outgoing person. She loved to cook, garden, canning, needlepoint, and fresh flowers – especially lilies. In her sewing she had natural ability to make items without patterns, and embroidered many items. She will be greatly missed. We know she is with the Lord and with her husband Enrique and other loved ones. Evangelina is survived by Guadalupe [Lupe] Eguia, Milo [Mary] Garcia, Maria [Sonny] Franco, Christobal Garcia, Josey [Ray] Martinez, Frank [Pam] Garcia, Janie [Nati] Pinon, Henry Garcia, Ruben [Debbie] Garcia, Yolanda [George] Espinosa, Noelia [Jose M.] Madera; 30 grandchildren; 49 great grandchildren; and a sister Lucita Cubaso. She is preceded in death by her husband Enrique; 3 children Concepcion, Reyes, and Alberto; granddaughter Rosmary, grandsons Robert and Tony; 3 brothers and 1 sister. Her viewing will be held on Monday, June 11, 2012 from 4-8:00 PM with Rosary recited at 7:00PM at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Evangelina’s honor on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Our Lady of the Valley, Catholic Church,Caldwell. Evangelina’s family would like to thank West Valley Medical Center in Caldwell, Canyon West Nursing Home and their wonderful staff, and especially Dr. Summers for their loving care.
