Evelyn Lillian Cervantes
December 7th, 1939 - January 1st, 2023
Evelyn Lillian Cervantes, (nee Belcher) of West Deptford, New Jersey, passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2023. She was 83. Legacy Evelyn is a lifelong resident of Paulsboro. She graduated from Paulsboro High School in 1958 and shortly after, married the love of her life, Ronald Cervantes. Together they raised three children that completed their love story. Evelyn enjoyed playing her guitar and was a Cherub Choir Director for St. Paul's United Methodist Church and also served as a Bible School and Sunday School teacher for the Church. She was an accomplished crafter and made countless afghans and sweaters that she sold as a small side business. Evelyn and Ronald enjoyed spending time along the shore and Cape May was one of their favorite destinations. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Family Evelyn is the beloved wife of Ronald; loving mother of Stephen and his wife Melissa and the late Wendy & Mark Cervantes; loving grandmother of 4. Farewell Tribute Relatives and friends are invited to attend Evelyn's visitation at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 21, 2023 in the Saint Paul's United Methodist Church, 74 Church Street, West Deptford where her Memorial Ceremony will follow at 12:00 PM.
