Evelyn T. Inga

December 8th, 1948 - June 20th, 2020

Evelyn T. Inga was able to take her husband’s hand in heaven on June 20, 2020 due to natural causes. Evelyn was born on December 8, 1948 in Ontario OR to Glen and Margene Weeks. She shared a special twin bond with her brother Even T. Weeks. At 5 years old she was over the moon to welcome her baby sister Marcia McCormick. Evelyn spent her childhood in Nyssa, Oregon and Parma, Idaho. In 1967 she Graduated from Parma High School and a year later earned her degree from Lady Catherine Professional Beauty College. Evelyn spent countless hours clipping, cutting, curling, and perming hair; not just as a career but also as a loving gesture for friends and family. She played the piano and the organ for her church and had a beautiful voice. Not only was she musically inclined, but she was able to craft anything she wanted to. Her needle work was beyond perfection. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting and anything she made had always turned out more beautiful than one could imagine. “You miss a stitch, you rip it out”, that was her motto. She was a perfectionist. In 1968 Evelyn married Don Durrant (later divorced). They started their family one year into their marriage and it wasn’t until 1983 that they felt that their family was complete with 8 children in total; 6 boys and 2 girls. Her children were her pride and joy, she loved them each individually and fiercely. Evelyn was always the first to rejoice in their accomplishments and not a moment went by where she was not proud of them and their talents. Although she had her cosmetology degree, she started a career at Micron as an operator where she was able to build many amazing friendships over the years. This career change later led her to meet what was known to be the love of her life. On December 8, 1995 Evelyn married Gary Inga and with this she gained 2 more daughters. They were a completed family of 12. Evelyn and Gary were together for more than 16 years before Gary passed in 2012. They enjoyed everything from romantic trips to the Oregon Coast to large family gatherings that packed the house full of love and laughter. In 2007, Evelyn’s career ended at Micron and she proceeded to continue with her education. She obtained a Medical Business with a PC Accounting program degree through the Rocky Mountain Business Academy. During this time, she acquired a letter of recommendation and recognition from the director of the school stating her academic accumulation score of 97.74%. After retirement, one interest that Evelyn and Gary shared was their love for their tea cup poodles. They were known to raise several at a time, that was their babies after the kids were grown. In total, Evelyn was blessed with 27 grandkids and doted over them any chance she got. Evelyn is survived by her Father Glen Weeks. 10 children: Gregory Durrant, Glen Durrant, Taunia Gossman (Paul), Edward Durrant (Hailey), Brett Durrant (Melinda), Bruce Durrant (Tammy), Nicholas Durrant (Kari), April Gaylord (Caleb), Adria McCaw (James), and Lacey Inga-Hetherington (Jamie). Her siblings, Evan Weeks (Loralyn), Marcia McCormick (Brian), Belinda Jones (Dave), and Angela Elliot (Rich). Remembered and greatly loved by her 27 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Gary Inga, mother Margene Weeks, step-mother Inez Weeks, grandparents, and mother & father in-law. The family believes faithfully that Gary and Evelyn are encompassed in the most loving reunion in heaven today and will continue their adventure together. We wish to thank all of those who shared loving thoughts and prayers during this time and appreciate the kindness and generosity that was shown towards Evelyn throughout her lifetime. Out of respect and concern for public health and safety, the family has chosen to have a private memorial service. The memorial service will be Zoom streamed for friends and family to view. Accent Funeral Home

Accent Funeral Home

A local landmark in Meridian, Accent Funeral Home has been serving the community since 1986. The business was first established with a vision to offer services in a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. This vision is reflected in our building, a Tudor-style home built in 1938 for a local postman. When remodeling the house to accommodate the funeral home, much care was taken to preserve the original architectural integrity of the building. The Accent Funeral Home holds a special relationship with the Meridian community and is sensitive to the area’s changing needs, providing service and friendship to comfort those we serve.

🕯️ I will miss my friend Evelyn Inga. We shared many special times and wonderful conversations together over the years. Eating good food, painting many Easter Rocks for the little people. I am sorry she has passed from this earth, but I fully believe that Gary took her hand to continue on many more adventures. Rest in Peace my friend. A candle to always light your way.
