Evelyn Britt McClelland passed away Sunday, March 21, 2021 in Sutter Creek, CA at the age of 95 years old. She was born March 22, 1925 in New York to her parents, Donald and Muriel (Britt) Morgan. Evelyn and her husband were married in 1945. During World War II she was a “Rosie the Riveter”, one of the women welders that worked on the war ships that needed repairs. Spending time with her family was Evelyn”s greatest joy. She is survived by her children, Karen (Ray) Medlock of Jackson, CA, Richard (Janet) McClelland of Spring Branch, TX and Don (Staci) McClelland of Truckee, CA; 9 grandchildren and many great grandchildren also survive her. Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband, Richard McClelland; son, David McClelland; and her sister Jeanne Morgan. At the family’s request there will be no services. Interment will take place at Sunset View Cemetery in Jackson, CA.
