Evelyn Prichard Orr, 95, one of the first licensed and certified school psychologists in Tennessee, passed away peacefully at the Autumn House on Saturday, February 14, 2009. She received her BA degree from Cumberland U in 1936, where she played basketball and was selected as “Miss Cumberland” in her senior year. She was awarded her MA degree in educational psychology from the U of Chattanooga. Evelyn married James Calvin Orr on June 1, 1937. They adopted two children Nancy and Jon making their home in Chattanooga until the children completed their education. After James death in 1985 Evelyn moved to Cocoa Beach to be near her daughter and grand children. She was preceded in death by her husband James C. Orr, son Jon B. Orr, brother J.W.
