Evelyn J Robare, 98, passed away November 1, 2023 at her home in Simpsonville SC. She was born November 11, 1924 in Plainville, IN to the late Calvin and Lillian B Hinkle- Petty. Evelyn retired as a secretary for the U.S. Army, Corp of Engineers, Fort Benjamin Harrison, in 1978. Afterwards she relocated to Florida where she has been every since. She worked in the Library at Port Charlotte Village where she lived for 40 years and could always be found with a book in her hands. She loved to play Euchre with anyone at anytime, as well as, playing shuffle board. Her favorite thing to do was being in the sunshine. Survivors include daughter, Phyllis Robare Darling of Belton SC, son, Paul Robare and wife Terri of Hartford City, IN, brother, Leon Petty and wife, Harriett of Lebanon, IN, granddaughters, Michelle Martin of California, Stacy Robare of Montana, and Shawn Robare Lee and husband, Tim of Indiana as well as three great grandsons and three great granddaughters. In addition to her parents, Joyce is preceded in death by her loving husband, Ellsworth “John” Robare one son, John Michael Robare, sisters, Vivian E Petty, Alice Cunningham and Fern Petty, brothers, Paul E Petty and Max Petty and her granddaughter, Katherine (Katie) Robare. Private family services will be held at a later date
