Evelyn Ivey Todd Mrs. Todd, 87, of Charlotte, NC, died at her residence on Sunday, August 12, 2012. She was born in Robeson County, NC, on September 27, 1924. She was the daughter of the late Haynes Kelly Ivey and Lula Estelle Scott Ivey. Mrs. Todd retired from Celanese Corporation of Charlotte in 1991. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Matthews where she really enjoyed being a Greeter, a member of the Dorcas Sunday School Class, and a member of the Madge Hargett Circle. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Todd was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Memory Todd, Jr. She is survived by daughters, Jane Schooley and Margaret Todd, both of Charlotte, NC; son, Mike Todd and his wife, Susanne of Charlotte; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Grace Brigman of Aberdeen, NC; and brothers, Lynwood Ivey of Chattanooga, TN, Jake Ivey of Aberdeen, NC, and Arthur Ivey of Sunset Beach, NC. There will be a memorial service at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, August 14, 2012, at First Baptist Church of Matthews, 185 South Trade St., Matthews, NC 28105. The family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Matthews in lieu of flowers.
