Funeral Alternatives of Washington - Tumwater
Everett Preston Dunham
March 31st, 1941 - March 21st, 2015
Everett Dunham (aka Papa) was born on March 31, 1941, in Spokane, Washington, to William Dunham and Wilma Abitz. He passed away peacefully on March 21, 2015, while surrounded by loved ones in his own home. He grew up in eastern Washington, worked on the family farm, graduated from Central Valley High School in Spokane, and attended the University of Missoula in Montana. Everett was married for more than 40 years to his beloved wife, Charla. Everett and Charla spent the past 36 years living in Tenino, Washington. Everett worked as a retail store manager, petroleum project manager, and estimator for environmental projects. He was an active member of the Tenino Lions Club, T-90 Quarrymen Car Club, and the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Centralia. He loved dancing with his wife, camping, and traveling with family. His passion was bowling on local leagues, in national tournaments, and teaching his children and grandchildren how to “roll the ball.” He enjoyed working in his shop, having breakfast with his men’s group, and watching the Mariners and the Seahawks. He is survived by his wife, Charla; daughters , Shauna Dunham-Guyman of Kent and Yevette (Bill) Matthews of Tenino; son, Jason (Jayme) Dunham of Rochester; grandchildren, Brandon Moore, Kayla Raymont, Travis Moore, Shelby Guyman, SiSi Guyman, Juston Crawford, Meagon Crawford, Madison Crawford, Tyler Dunham; and great grandchildren, Zander, Dante’ and Arianna Raymont. He was preceded in death by parents, William Dunham Sr, and Les and Wilma Abitz; son, Scott Dunham; and brother, William Dunham. Memorial gifts in Everett’s honor may be made to the Tenino Food Bank, Providence Hospice Services in Olympia, the T-90 Quarrymen Car Club, or Tenino Lions Club Scholarships Funds.
