Evo J. Vandini
December 8th, 1925 - September 18th, 2011
"Monson - Evo J. Vandini Jr., 85, passed away on September 18, 2011 at LifeCare Center of Wilbraham. He was born December 8, 1925 in Springfield, MA, son of the late Evo J. Sr. and May (Perreault) Vandini. Raising their family in Chicopee, Evo and his wife retired to New Port Richie, FL before returned to Westfield, MA and more recently living in Monson for the past year. During WWII, Evo proudly served his country in the US Navy. He worked as a buyer for the former HR Hunting Co. for 35 years and enjoyed golfing. Evo was a handy man and carpenter and was dedicated to his family. He is survived by his wife Dorothy (St. John)Vandini along with 2 sons, Wayne Vandini and his wife Catherine of Springfield and Dean Vandini and his wife Debra of Wales along with a sister, Audrey Belanger and husband Raymond of Chicopee. Evo also leaves several nieces and nephews. A memorial service and military honors will be held Thursday Sept. 22nd at 9:00 a.m. at the MA Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam.
