Kernersville- Evonne Simms Linn, 49, passed away October 20, 2011 after a lengthy illness. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00AM Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Father Paul Dechant O.S.F.S. officiating. She lived in Kernersville, NC for the past five years, but she lived in Palm Beach, FL most of her life. She was the daughter of Milton Everett Simms and Arlene Pereira Simms. She was preceded in death by her father Milton E. Simms Jr.; brother Chris Simms; grandparents Maria and Jack Pereira Sr., and father-in-law Russell Linn. Those left behind loved her laugh and her smile. She loved the whimsical and magic of the world. She was an avid reader of everything. She loved and lived life to its fullest. Survivors include her beloved husband and soul mate David Linn; mother Arlene Simms, Aunt Lynn Lovell, mother-in-law Shirley Linn, Uncle Jack Pereira Jr.; other numerous in-laws, aunts, nieces, nephews, and a host of cousins and friends. Memorial contributions may be made to: St. Judes Childrens Hospital, St. Jude Tri-Cities Affiliate, Southern Appalachian Ronald McDonald House, 418 North State of Franklin Road, Johnson City, TN 37604.
