Fabiola Mascarenas Lea, age 82, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2015. She was born in Placita, NM, Taos County, to Juan B. and Simonita Mascarenas. Fabiola was a nurse at Nazareth Hospital for many years. She had a beautiful voice and loved to play the guitar. Fabiola adored her many pets. She had an infectious laugh that could be heard throughout the room. She will always be in our hearts and we will forever miss her. Fabiola is survived by her children, Wendy Newell, Crystal Terrazas, and John Lea; 9 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; her dear friend, Jerry Widdison; her sister, Ophelia Chavez; brothers, Alfonso Mascarenas, Cipriano Mascarenas and wife Porfidia, Candido Mascarenas, Ambrose Mascarenas and wife Mary; and many nieces and nephews.Services will be held on Friday, October 2, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Holy Ghost Parrish, 833 Arizona Ave SE.
