Faith Rucker
January 13th, 1931 - February 24th, 2012
“Faith was born in Jersey City, New Jersey to Irma and Philip Eley. She joined the Army to receive training as a Medical Field Service Technologist when she was 18 years old. Faith achieved the rank of Corporal and served during the Korean War. She was stationed in Japan and even learned to speak some Japanese . “Arrigato Faith” for love you. Faith was awarded the following medals: National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal,,United Nations Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal. After Faith left the Army in 1954, she married Owen and worked as a medical technologist for the State Board of Health in New Orleans. After the family left Louisiana, she chose to assist her husband with his horseshoeing and horse-training business. Faith was able to travel all across the country with her husband and did so until they retired. Faith was a devoted wife and loved her husband very much. Faith always believed Owen was able to do anything with horses and truly believed in him. Owen states proudly meeting Faith, saved his Life! Faith loved her children and truly wanted them all to be happy. She is survived by her loving husband Owen and their five children
