Fay Marie Sanders

May 11th, 1927 - November 26th, 2017

Fay Marie Mason Sanders, 90, died November 26, 2017 at a local assisted living home. Fay Marie was born May 11, 1927 in Orchard, Idaho to Lester Melvin Mason and Ella Kristina (Shavland) Mason, Fay joined her older sister, June Ellen Mason to complete the family. Fay spent her early years in Redhouse, Nevada. At the age of 13 she lost her father to a railroad accident and the family then moved to the Caldwell area. Fay married Martin Richard Sanders on July 1, 1949 and they were married 62 years. They lived in Washington State, Utah and then returned to Caldwell when Martin retired in 1979. Fay was a great caregiver all her life. Over the years she took care of many children as a babysitter, she took care of her mom when her mother’s health began to decline and she took care of her pets. Fay loved the dogs and cats that were part of her life and family. Fay loved to read, she loved trains, she loved to wear hats and she had a sweet tooth. She was small in stature but had a feisty personality. She was one of a kind. Fay is preceded in death by her parents, sister and husband. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Canyon Hill Cemetery, Caldwell, ID. Condolences may be given at www.flahifffuneralchapel.com. Service Information
