Faye Ruth Raines

Faye Ruth Raines, age 79, of Kingsport, entered into an eternal rest, on Friday, October 23, 2015 at Holston Manor. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Kingsport. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend; she will be greatly missed by all who loved her. She was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Raines; parents, Frank and Kathleen Burgin; and brothers, Donald F. Burgin and Joseph Burgin. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Billy Joe Raines; daughter, Penny Raines; son, Christopher Raines (Mark Raines); 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary N. Brotherton of South Carolina; daughter-in-law, Debbie Grills Raines; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Kingsport. Funeral services will begin at 7:00 pm with Rev. Spencer K. McCool Jr. officiating. Entombment will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at 11:00 am at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Kingsport is proudly serving the Raines family.
