Ferba Mae (Howes) Bisbee of Springfield passed away on February 18, 2013 of congestive heart failure at the age of 86. She was born on June 20, 1926 in Moran, Texas to Lemmie Glass Caraway and Ula Mae (Carter) Caraway. She married Frank Howes in 1948 and he passed in 1980. She married Charley Bisbee in 1991 and he passed away in 2007. She worked with her father and brother in their bakeries and worked for Davison Bakery in Eugene before working in the Eugene Cannery for 30 years. She is survived by 3 daughters, Iona Kline of Springfield, Bobbie Emerson of LaPine and Debra Houts of Springfield and one son Terry Howes of Fall Creek. She was the grandmother of 12 and the great- grandmother of 35. She also is survived by 2 brothers, Thomas of Florida, L.G. of Louisiana and 2 sisters, Shirley of Arkansas and Nelda of Texas. Services will be at Lane Memorial Funeral Home on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 2:00pm. A potluck will be held at the Springfield Veterans of Foreign Wars at 4:00pm. Donations can be made to the Victory Tabernacle in Springfield or to the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Cancer Aid and Research program in Springfield where she was a Life member. She was also a member of the Women of the Moose. Arrangements by Lane Memorial Funeral Home.
