Florence "Mickey" Langer

Langer, Florence 'Mickey',93 03/08/1917 05/08/2010 Florence Mikael "Mickey" Bighaus was born in Dogden, N.D., to John and Elizabeth Bighaus. She was a longtime resident of Garibaldi where she enjoyed fishing, crabbing, clamming and boating. She was the winner of the 1987 and 1988 Garibaldi Crab Races. She worked at White Stag, was a homemaker and a barmaid. Her hobbies included doll making, crocheting and skating. When she was 65, she still skated during Garibaldi Days. Mickey is survived by her children, Richard and Robert Garvey and Penny Smith; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, four brothers and three sisters. A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 15, 2010, in Fairview Terrace club-house, 2800 N.E. Arbor Crest Dr., Fairview, OR 97024.
