Florence A. Turowski

Florence A. Turowski, 95, of Park Hill Adult Home, formerly of Wren Street, passed away Friday, June 15, 2007 at St. Mary?s Hospital in Amsterdam. She was born December 1, 1911 daughter of the late William and Agnes Buczkowski. Florence was a life resident of Amsterdam and a graduate of St. Mary?s Institute. She worked for various companies in the area including Colette?s Manufacturing, Breir Company and the Broom Company. She retired in 1973 at the age of 62. She married Alexander S. Turowski in Amsterdam, he predeceased her in 1960. Florence was a faithful and faith-filled individual whose Catholic background played a major role in her life. She will be sadly missed by all of her family and friends. Besides her parents and her husband, Florence was predeceased by nine brothers and sisters. She is survived by a daughter, Eleanor J. Turowski of Amsterdam. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00AM on Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at St. Mary?s Roman Catholic Church in Amsterdam. Interment will be at a later date in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends, prior to mass, on Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30AM at Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY.
