Florencio A. Padilla

Florencio A. Padilla passed away peacefully in his home on the afternoon of January 25, 2019. He was born on August 13, 1938, in Manzano, NM. He was preceded in death by his parents Antonio and Stella Padilla, his son Daniel Padilla, 6 brothers & 2 sisters. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Isabel Padilla, son Frank Padilla & wife Connie, daughter Gloria Padilla & partner Lawrence, son Fernando Padilla; grandchildren Victoria, Crisantos, Jenae, Mario, Justin, Cidelia, & Kelis; great-grandchildren Sabrina, Timothy, Luciano, Elizabeth, & Daniella; sisters Betty Sedillo & Mary Lou Sedillo & husband Marcos; and brothers Ernest Padilla & wife Martha, Candido Padilla & wife Graciela, David & partner Victoria, Tom & partner Maria, & Manuel. Florencio was a man with quiet strength and known as the Patriarch of Manzano where he grew up & spent the majority of his final years. He always had his guitar & shared his gift of music at family functions, church, or any opportunity that presented itself. He will be remembered not only for his music but also for his kindness and willingness to help wherever and whenever needed. He will be greatly missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. 1st Rosary - February 8, 2019 - 10:30 a.m. - Holy Rosary Catholic Church - 5415 Fortuna, NW - Albuquerque, NM 87105. 2nd Rosary - February 9, 2019 - 10:30 a.m. - Our Lady of Sorrows - Manzano, NM. - to be followed by the funeral mass.
