Flossie Parks Cassell, age 91 of Greensboro, NC, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 12, 2018. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Thursday at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Paul Luttrell officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park. She was born Flossie Elouise Parks to the late Etta Mae Reece and Pender Cemore Parks on April 28, 1926. Flossie was vibrant and had a zest for life. She spread love and laughs to everyone who was near to her. Flossie most enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Flossie enjoyed sewing, crafts and had an amazing flair for cooking and taught her skills to many. Once she had grandchildren she was forever called grandmother by those that knew her. Flossie was employed by the Greensboro Manufacturing Company in her early career and also worked for the original Guilford Dairy. She later retired from Eldercare at the age of 80. Flossie is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Arthur Cassell. Surviving are her daughters: Carolyn Vetter (Paul) and Patricia Neugent (Ed), Grandchildren: Kenneth Neugent, Teresa Neugent Lackey (Mike), Elizabeth Neugent Smith (Justin), Jesse Edsell-Vetter (Carolyn), and Catherine Johnson (Joshua), Great Grandchildren: Sarah Lackey, Emily Lackey, River Smith, Carter Smith, Koby Johnson , Zoe Johnson, Yonathan Edsell-Vetter, and Ethan Edsell-Vetter, Nieces: Shirley Cody and Nancy Harris and many extended family and friends that she loved dearly including Tina Butler who selflessly help care for Flossie in her final days. Visitation will be held at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. On-line condolences may be offered at www.lambethtroxlerfuneralhome.com
